What started as a party package prize won by Gretta Nance of Skin Raleigh from the first ever Catch Me At The Casino, turned into something a bit bigger than anticipated. I said “Party” - Gretta said “Purpose”... and with that, the Girlboss Gathering was born. A party with a purpose.
Fast forward to Jan 2019... The question of Girlboss Gathering 2.0 was raised and the answer was an easy 100% YES!! So here we are, post GG2.0, so stoked to have celebrated you women, your leadership, and your businesses. All served up with some valuable takeaways. Not to mention some rockstar sponsors and providing their generous goods and services!
This year’s Girlboss Gathering held at stunning Cannon Room was crazy magical you guys. Being in a room full of women genuinely supporting and cheering one another on, in a non-networky, let your hair down kind of setting; now that’s the real deal. Check out our recap below!
Who doesn't love some tasty sips and small bites? The drinks were flowin’ all night long; Social House Vodka mixed up some oh-so-tasty love potion cocktails. Anyone else wanting a glitter-garnished Cupid’s Arrow right about now? Donovan’s Dish made us the tastiest little bites that we couldn’t help but snack on all night. And of course, we can’t forget dessert! Sweet treats courtesy of Barrett’s Cookies + Biscuits were the icing on the cake!
The love was flowing all night long! The love letter station was the perfect way for everyone to spread some kindness. I mean, who couldn’t use some words of encouragement every now and then? Bri of Tadpole Magic also did some awesome tarot readings for our ladies and was such a joy to have at the event!
One of the best ways to show some self-love: flowers! Plume Events put together the most beautiful petite blooms and they were a huge hit!
If you want us you can find as at the photo booth! ZimZoom Photo Booth is always a fan-fave and helped capture so many fun moments throughout the evening. The photobooth backdrop collaboration was done by Lion House & Zim Zoom!
Hearing our keynote speakers share their stories was one of our favorite highlights of the night. Erin Harker of Makin’ Whoopie Kitchen shared her journey of going from baker to blogger and her secret to adding magic into your business & everyday life! Jess Ekstrom, CEO & founder of Headbands for Hope, told her own story of how she turned her passion for helping others into a booming business. These boss babes are seriously inspiring! If you haven’t already, we highly recommend checking them out!
We couldn’t have pulled it all off without the help of our amazing sponsors! They’re the real magic behind #girlboss Gathering 2.0 and we are forever grateful for each and every one of them.
